Hello Philadelphia —

As of September 6th, 2022, I’m resigning from my position as 7th District City Councilmember in order to run for Mayor. 

I’m grateful for every minute of service, every vote, and every person who’s raised their voice to make Philadelphia better. 

I am a child of Philadelphia public housing, a lifelong activist, and Philadelphia’s first Latina district Councilwoman. 

We’ve made a lot of progress. But there’s a lot more that needs to happen. Next, I am excited to earn your trust and your support as the first woman of color to be elected Philadelphia’s next Mayor.

Over the next couple of months, I will be laying out my vision for what Philadelphia CAN be by 2030 with a strong leader at the helm.
