Northeast Philadelphia represents 30% of the city’s population.  But it’s isolated and hard to access, which significantly limits opportunities for the people and businesses there. The construction of a subway line would radically transform the Northeast, and the city as a whole.

Early studies project that this subway line will carry 124,000 passengers daily and take 83,000 cars off the Roosevelt Boulevard.

Pennsylvania now has access to billions in Biden administration funding for infrastructure that could make this age-old Philadelphia project possible now. Add your name to support the construction of a Roosevelt Boulevard subway line.

Hi, I’m Maria Quiñones Sánchez, Philadelphia City Councilmember for the 7th District. I am using digital media to better connect with Philadelphians within my district and beyond to stay on the pulse of what you want most. I’ve been working on Philly’s frontlines for 30 years and I know how this city operates. But I can’t make the changes I know we need to make unless I’m in alignment with you. I believe that when people band together around a shared vision for the city we love, anything is possible.

Please note, this petition is not an official petition issued by the City of Philadelphia. It’s a digital tool created by my campaign staff to connect to what you care about.
